Mukulu Coffee Table
A minimalist take on our Musubu Table, the new Mukulu Table features the ancient Japanese wood finishing technique of Shou-Sugi-Ban to gain its blackened aesthetic. The solid oak is heavily scorched until blackened and charred, meticulously scoured, and cleaned by hand. From here, it receives our standard, durable clear coat.
All ties shed, the Mukulu Table features clean, unbroken lines that blend ancient and contemporary design. Its final look and fire-born texture strike a balance between being eye-catching and seamlessly fitting into any surrounding.
Dimensions: this item is available in two lengths - 34 inches or 46 inches. Each is 15 inches in height, and 19 inches wide.
(Please contact us for any custom sizes, we'd be happy to help.)
Materials: Solid Charred Oak
Note on appearance: We pride ourselves on using sustainably sourced and reclaimed wood. Due to the dense history of reclaimed timbers, some tables are built to keep this history, rather than hide it. Honed imperfections may be present, but are urged to be looked at with respect, given the long history of the tree’s uses that eventually brought it to you. Each piece of solid wood boasts its own unique and beautiful grain, ensuring that every table is truly one of a kind.
Finish and touch-up notes: Table is meant for indoor-use only. Timber Forge commercial grade finish on hardwood will last for many years. As with all heirloom furniture, over time some natural wear and use may show. However, the beauty of our finish on hardwood is that these can be easily touched up and your table will look similar to the day it was received. If needed in the future, please contact us for touch-up information and we would be happy to help.
Shipping: Please allow 1-2 weeks delivery. Piece is shipped flat to reduce costs. Minimal assembly is required. All necessary hardware will be provided, making it easy to bring this piece into your home or business.
