Kumo Bench + Coffee Table

$929.00

Kumo Bench + Coffee Table, inspired by Japanese design, features the ancient Shou-Sugi-Ban wood finishing technique. This piece gains its deep charcoal color by scorching the wood with an open flame then carefully cleaning and finishing. The top is crafted using one solid piece of live-edge cherry, and is the sibling of our Kuro Sitting + Coffee Table.

Functional as both a bench and a high coffee table at a standard 18" height, the Kumo adapts to your needs. The legs, cut from reclaimed timbers, proudly display their weathered, gnarled form, preserving a sense of history. The final look, with its amorphous edges and fire-born texture, strikes a beautiful and harmonious balance.

Dimensions: this item is 60 inches wide x 15 inches depth x 18 inches high

(Please contact us for any custom sizes, we'd be happy to help.)

Materials: Solid Charred Cherry + Reclaimed Timber

Note on appearance: We pride ourselves on using sustainably sourced and reclaimed wood. Due to the dense history of reclaimed timbers, some tables are built to keep this history, rather than hide it. Honed imperfections may be present, but are urged to be looked at with respect, given the long history of the tree’s uses that eventually brought it to you. Each piece of solid wood boasts its own unique and beautiful grain, ensuring that every table is truly one of a kind.

Finish and touch-up notes: Table is meant for indoor-use only. Timber Forge commercial grade finish on hardwood will last for many years. As with all heirloom furniture, over time some natural wear and use may show. However, the beauty of our finish on hardwood is that these can be easily touched up and your table will look similar to the day it was received. If needed in the future, please contact us for touch-up information and we would be happy to help.

Shipping: Please allow 1-2 weeks delivery. Piece is shipped flat to reduce costs. Minimal assembly is required. All necessary hardware will be provided, making it easy to bring this piece into your home or business.
